3 weeks

And I'll be leaving for Europe. I quit my job and dropped out of school, so I guess there's no going back now. We have a week of rehearsals in Dayton with the entire band then our first show is on October 5th in southampton.

I've been working with Dan and "Truth Drums" to make sure we have a drum set in Europe. After some deliberation we decided that it was easier to have them build him a new kit at their factory in Europe than to ship his to London. It's gonna be a little nervous showing up to a kit that neither of us have ever seen or played on, but "Truth" has a great reputation for building amazing instruments so it shouldn't be a problem. I also just ordered over 500 drum heads from REMO and had them shipped to a temp. storage unit in England where we are sending all our gear. Dan's heads need to be changed before every show so we're going to have to travel with quite a few tech cases. REMO does not offer delivery in Europe so we had to pre-order all the necessary heads for all the drums before the tour begins.

So that's it... can't wait to get going for real!

  3. Ben, I read your mom's blog, I am a quilter in Iowa. Oddly enough, my walking partner from this summer has a son named Ben, who also travels with "The Devil Wears Prada"...small world. I never had heard of them until I met Ben P's mom. Small world. Have a great adventure, congrats on the career change, and don't forget to call your Mom!
